Snow Angels
We passed a lot of places that were closed. There were 2 days in which we drove longer than we would have liked, because where we thought we were stopping was closed. FYI- that wouldn't have happened if I had planned the trip. :-D

Lunch on the ALCAN
This was odd. We passed a sign saying we were entering a reservation...can't remember the name. Not long after was a sign warning of pedestrians on the road. Yeah, we thought the same...Uh? Pedestrians out here in the middle of nowhere Canada? Then we started seeing vehicle seats spaced out on the side of the road. Eventually, we passed some seats that were occupied. Most we could figure is that the residents of the reservation sit out watching traffic.....maybe it's fun during the summer when there is more traffic??? There were 4 wheelers parked near the occupied seats. We never saw any housing, so they must have been back in the woods somewhere.
Day 1 ....Texas.
Day 12, Last day.... Alaska

I could just cry seeing the comparison! lol
ReplyDeleteOk, the Day 1 v Day 12 pictures are REALLY depressing to those of us in Texas LOL
